INNOTOX FORMULATION
Medytox formulated INNOTOX with precision and accuracy, accompanied by advanced technology and its researchers’ continuous research and development. Its production process has been commended globally, and it has secured its biggest license-out contract in the Korean pharmaceutical industry.
During the manufacturing process, the type A strain of Clostridium botulinum is cultured in a credited laboratory where only non-animal derived ingredients are guaranteed to be used in the formulation. This is to eliminate the risks associated with animal-based proteins. Moreover, it also excludes human serum albumin as an excipient to avoid any risks associated with diseases of human blood origin. Only a natural stabilizer like methionine and polysorbate is added to the formula to ensure long-lasting effects and safe use. As a result, the first liquid injectable form of Botox is created and branded as INNOTOX, which is available in 50 and 100 units.
INNOTOX CLINICAL STUDIES
INNOTOX have also been approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in South Korea in 2013. It has also been proven to be safe and effective through a clinical study conducted to improve glabella wrinkles. When compared to a standard Botox product and using the same administration method and dose, it was found that both products produce the same effects on the improvement of glabella wrinkles evaluated by the investigator at 4 weeks after treatment. However, the effect of INNOTOX was significantly different 16 weeks after the treatment.
The clinical study concluded that the efficacy and safety of INNOTOX were comparable to those of Botox for the improvement of glabellar frown lines.
HOW TO USE INNOTOX
INNOTOX is provided as a ready-to-use sterile liquid with 4 U/0.1 mL concentration. Therefore, no risk of contamination or inaccurate dosing due to human errors during reconstitution exists, which enhances the treatment safety and efficacy. Furthermore, its storage and reuse are more convenient, and INNOTOX has a long stability with an expiration of 36 months under appropriate storage conditions.
INNOTOX does not need dilution so it is fairly easy to use and prevents any mistakes during administration. Below is a comparison of how Botox products are administered and how INNOTOX is so much easier because of its no-dilution feature.
INNOTOX DOSAGE
An accurate dose is important when administering Botox to achieve optimal results. With INNOTOX, it is easy to measure the accurate dose for the treatment. as it does not need mixture with a solvent due to its pre-mixed solution feature, eliminating the possibility of inaccurate dilution volume by the user as the dosage will remain consistent all throughout.
INNOTOX is indicated to temporarily improve moderate to severe glabellar wrinkles related to eyebrow wrinkle muscle (corrugator muscle) and procerus muscle activity in adults aged from 20 to 65.
INNOTOX APPLICATION
INNOTOX is primarily given for those who have prominent frown lines, eye wrinkles, and sagging skin. Since the botulinum toxin strain in the formulation mainly works to inhibit muscle contraction, hence it is effective for the aesthetic correction of facial wrinkles and non-surgical face correction. It also serves as a therapeutic agent especially for hyperhidrosis and blepharospasm correction. Effects of INNOTOX can last for 6 to 12 months with regular sessions.
